TCEQ Available CBT Exams and Time Limits
Application Process
Pre-approval of your licensing application is required. For pre-approval, applicants must:
- complete license requirements-
- education
- experience
- training
- Pay the $111 processing fee (required before you can submit you application on e-Application).
- TCEQ Occupational Licensing, MC-178, PO Box 13087, Austin, TX 78711-3087
- submit an application using the online application, e-Application.
Approval Letter
Upon receiving an approval letter, the applicant will need to:
- Visit the OC Testing Center Marketplace to pay the $15.00 proctor fee. Please note, you will need to have obtained your approval letter prior to visiting Marketplace.
- Once your Marketplace order has been received by the Testing Center you will be contacted by a representative to set your appointment time/date for your exam. Please allow for 24-48 business hours to be contacted by the Testing Center.
- A valid/current state driver's license is required for all exams.
Retesting
Retesting by CBT after failing a written test is allowed, so long as your application is in an approved status. Candidates may opt to retest once immediately following a failed attempt or choose to schedule for a later date.
Testing Center Tips:
1. The Testing Center is located in the SPUR Building, Suite 150.2. All test candidates should be prepared to present a current photo ID for verification purposes during the check-in process.
3. You will be provided a locker to store your personal items when completing your exam.
4. We welcome you to park in any WHITE or YELLOW parking space located in the lot to the left of the Administration Building.
